Joe McGhee, Chairman & CEO
As American Biosurgical’s Chairman & CEO, Joe guides the company’s growth and success in close cooperation with the company’s board of directors. Joe was most recently a Division President at Asurion Insurance Services and was primarily hired to be President & CEO of one (or more) targeted acquisitions for the company. His previous work experience includes various positions with Cisco Systems, Avaya, IBM, LOTUS software, and Siemens. Throughout his career, Joe has gained extensive global experience and has conducted business in over 20 countries including leading Cisco Systems’ $400M+ Operations in Korea as Executive Vice President and COO. Prior to his role at Asurion, Joe worked for Avaya as the Vice President of Sales & Operations, Americas East where he was responsible for leading all aspects of Avaya's sales and service operations in the Eastern half of the United States, Canada and their Federal Government (over $2 Billion in total product and service revenue). Joe received his BS Degree in Business Management & Marketing with Honors from Jackson State University and his MBA from Harvard Business School with a concentration in marketing and international business.
David P. Brazeal, CPA Chief Financial Officer
With over 25 years of senior financial management experience, David works closely with the company’s management team and Board of Directors to drive value by supporting the company’s sales and operations efforts. Prior to joining American Biosurgical, David served as Chief Financial Officer of Dixie HomeCrafters, a private equity backed sales and marketing organization focused on the home improvement industry. While at Dixie HomeCrafters, he was instrumental in creating over $15 million of EBITDA improvements through strategic cost control and product delivery initiatives. Before joining Dixie HomeCrafters, David was the Chief Financial Officer of Barton Protective Services, a contract security services firm that grew to become the fifth largest security services provider in the United States. He helped grow Barton to $400 million in revenue before leading the company through a sale that resulted in the highest EBITDA multiple ever paid in the industry. Earlier in his career, David served in financial management positions at Integrated Business Systems and the Uniflex Corporation, after beginning his career with KPMG. He earned his Bachelors degree from the University of Georgia in Accounting, and earned his MBA from Kennesaw State University.
Terry Comer, VP of Operations
Terry has been a member of the American Biosurgical management team since May 2007, serving with
broad responsibility for all aspects of the company’s operations strategy, including manufacturing,
quality, logistics and customer support. Prior to joining American Biosurgical, he served as General Partner of
J. Devien Capital, a mid-market private equity firm based in Atlanta. While at J. Devien, Terry evaluated
and sourced several qualified acquisition targets from $10-50 million in revenues in the Healthcare,
Security and Wireless industries. From 2000-2006, he also worked in a variety of field services, business
development, and sales positions at Cox Communications, Avaya Communications and Lucent
Technologies. Terry received his Bachelors degree in Mathematics from Morris Brown College, his
Bachelors degree in Industrial and Systems Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology
(Georgia Tech), and his Master of Business Administration from Harvard University.
